International Harvester's gloomy announcement came on November 26, 1984, of plans to sell of its loss-ridden farm equipment business after more than a century and a half in the AG industry.

In 1985 two great traditions in farm equipment manufacturing joined forces.

When the Case International brand was formed the new company used the Case 94 series 4wd and 2wd line and the IH 84 compact line.
